Phase 1 serves 16 stations over 13km from University Hospital to Broadbeach South. Eventually line will extend 40km from Helensvale to Coolangatta. Each train unit carries up to 350 people and units run every 7.5 minutes at peak times.

  • Operator Franchisee, GoldLinQ Pty Ltd is contracted by the Queensland Government for the design, construction, operations and maintenance of the light rail system. Rail infrastructure and rolling stock is by Bombardier Australia.

 

Scope of Work

Design, supply & interfacing of Fibre Optic IP Backbone network for signalling and data communications, for security CCTV system, TETRA Radio communications, Emergency Telephone System, Station PA system and Passenger Information System serving 16 stations and Depot.
